4 Secrets to Building a Massive Team
Let’s look at four secrets to building a massive team in network marketing.
Because if you are looking to create a solid 6+ figure network marketing business, these secrets to building a massive team will help you get there (ideally) in much less time.
The pace of the team is the pace of the leader.
You have probably heard that your team’s pace can never outgrow your own. This has always been true when we are active in network marketing too.
The times we experienced the best or most sustainable growth was always the time we committed to taking massive action ourselves.
Secret Sauce to Building a Massive Team
Regardless of where you are in your business, if you only have five people in your team or 5,000, you need to increase your recruiting pace to go to the next level.
Usually, I teach my clients always to follow the rule of inviting three new people per day to look at their business by sharing the opportunity, products or services. However, if you are looking for massive change in the next 6-12 months, you could increase that to inviting 10-20 people daily. Whichever you choose, please set a manageable goal.
Leading by example will motivate your team and grow their belief that success is a direct result of massive action-taking.
Focus on THEIR vision
If you have increased your recruiting pace, you are likely going through many people looking to find the few leaders representing 80-90% of your growth.
The fastest way to ‘sort’ through people (in other words, qualify people) is to understand their vision and the degree of motivation to change their life at this present time. This is key when the goal is building a massive team.
Sometimes, I see people talking about the products and services that their company is distributing, which is terrific if you are after expanding your customer base.
However, if your goal is to create a massive team, you want to qualify each prospect you chat with. We can’t WANT it for them. The best way to approach someone is to discover their goals or vision. Meeting people where they’re at is so important.
Ultimately, if the person you approach is not open to the opportunity, they may make a fantastic customer (which can be VERY valuable!).

Engage your new team member(s)
The most crucial time for duplication is shortly after signing up your new team member. If you do not set their expectations early (yours as a leader and theirs) and show them what it takes to invite people to look at your business, you may lose a GREAT opportunity to create a team of 5, 10 or more new members in the next few weeks.
This ideology is based on the urgency principle that leaders run their businesses with. So think about whatever you can do right now to maximize the engagement, action-taking and duplication essential to your future growth.
Your new team member is excited; leverage that. Excitement is a huge component to building a massive team.
Spend less than 1 hour a week training
I hear so many of my clients who have fallen into the trap of almost ‘too much’ training. Think of this trap as a place where you get STUCK.
You’re stuck for a while at your rank or income and think that training your team more will increase your revenue overall growth.
Regardless of where you are in your business, you should not be spending more than 1 hour per week training your team. Your best options are to try and do that on a weekly call, webinar or even at a live event (if that’s your thing).
Limit this training time for yourself and your team to maximize the income-producing activities that are often much more effective.
However, training will not grow a massive team; inviting more people to look at the business will.
Overall, the pace at which we can grow a massive team will always depend on the quality of the relationship you develop with your leaders. Invest your time in authentic, long-lasting friendships; before you know it, a massive growth will be waiting for you on the other side!
